The Florida Keys Churches site is continuing to show up fairly well on the Google Search Engine search. It still has a way to go to get all four of the targeted keywords to show up. Right now our hope is to get the site to show up for “Florida Keys Churches”, “Churches in Florida Keys”, “Churches in the Florida Keys”, and “Florida Keys Florida Churches”. We are continuing to market the Florida Keys Churches site and we are looking for churches in the Florida Keys who are interested in partnering with us to become Featured Florida Keys Churches.

The Florida Keys Churches site is still holding its own as a page 1 Google result. It is often in position 1, but sometimes drifts down to position 2 or 3. We are continuing to write these update articles and pointing new links at the site. In our initial marketing phase we were not able to efficiently communicate to the other area churches the value of being listed on the site. We will be adding a church this week to the site and then we will start working on a more impactful marketing approach. This will all be in conjunction with marketing to our latest page 1 church directory, Ocala Florida Churches.
The Florida Keys Church Directory is getting a steady stream of weekly and daily traffic. The most common searches are for Florida Keys Churches, churches in Florida Keys, Islamorada Churches, Marathon Churches, Key Largo Churches and Key West Churches. The site returns as a page 1 result for everything but Key Largo Churches and Key West Churches. We will continue to target these other keywords in the future.
Once all of the planned directory sites are up and running they will help each other in their search engine results. We are spending the bulk of our time developing the other directory sites so that by the beginning of next year they can all begin to achieve page 1 rankings from all of the search engines.

This Florida Keys Churches site is now sitting in position 3 on page 1 of a Google search for Florida Keys Churches. It has spent time in position 1 and position 2. The slip to three could be because there hasn’t been any articles posted to the site recently. We have been developing other directory sites around Florida and California. We will be adding some churches to this site over the next couple of days which should impact where it positions. This site maintenance post should help temporarily until the other posts are written. We will be adding a church from each of the areas to the featured churches list. One Islamorada Church, one Marathon Church, one Key Largo Church, one Key West Church, and one church from the more Florida Keys churches site.
Once these featured churches have been added we will continue to check the positioning of the site in regards to Google. The site has recently started showing up as a Yahoo result as well.

The Florida Keys Churches is now ready for featured churches. The site is showing up in either position 1 or 2 on page 1 of a Google search. We are still working on getting the site to improve on MSN and Yahoo. The first wave of letters to the local 3o local churches were mailed out on Friday, August 8, 2008. We are now waiting to see if we get any interest from that first wave of letters. As of this time, the Florida Keys Churches site often gets about 20 page views a day. This traffic increases on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday as people are looking for a church in the Florida Keys.
We will continue to write regualr articles on this site to try and keep it showing up in the search engine results. We are alos going to keep writing so that Marathon Churches and Islamorada Churches also show up on the search engines. We are praying that we can get the site fully loaded with featured churches and even add a category called churches of interest in the future for churches that don’t make it into the 12 Florida Keys churches that the site will feature.

We had an interesting thing happen today at Florida Keys Churches. We showed up in position 1 on page 1. We have been sitting in position 2 for weeks. I am not sure if it will last because we had been sitting behind a phone book directory site which had a lot of links pointing at it. That site isn’t showing up on this search so it might just be a temporary thing. Anyway, any time your site is a page one position one return is a good time. I took a screen shot s0 you could see it.
This site gets a lot of traffic already. I am looking forward to having other churches in the area get on board and take advantage of the site. I am sending out the invite letters in the next couple of days. We are going to be doing some site maintenance over the next few days to get the site ready for the churches we are inviting to the site.
